The Crowne Plaza is a good choice at a very reasonable rate. Room was clean, beds were comfy and breakfast room service was prompt and delicious. We hung out in the room until almost 1 pm, b/c our baby was napping and we weren't bothered by either housekeeping or the front desk, wonderinng when we were checking out. Only downsides - room decor and a bathroom fixtures were a bit dated. Also, the location is about 10 minutes from downtown, but you do need to have a car available - there's not much within walking distance.

Hotel is close to 675, but off several roads. Depending upon your room, you can hear the highway--but the drapes shut out some noise. Lobby area is beautiful. The parking lot is very well lit. The room was clean, refreshing. Front desk staff very helpful and courteous.

Room was clean and the staff was very helpful in bringing us a small refrigerator and extra pillows to our room. My only pet peeve was the small trash cans in the room. With 2 kids in tow, we filled them up in a matter of hours.

Driving from New York to Atlanta, stayed in Columbus to break up the drive. Have stayed at other Crown Plazas and could not belive the price we got for our one night stay July 2, 2009. $75 with all taxes and fees. Kept looking for a reason on why such a low price. Never found one. Very nicely decorated and clean hotel. Front desk very friendly. Was looking for a nice size pool to tire out the kids. There are TWO pools - the indoor and outdoor pools are connected. Nice size hot tub too. Water temp was comfortable. Beds very comfortable and bathroom was clean - most important to me. Coffee in room, no continental breakfast - but they do offer family discounts to dine in their restaurant. Hotel right off thruway, never heard the traffic noise, and plenty of restaurants around at good prices. We had breakfast at the Bob Evans around the corner. Highly recommend, and we will be returning next year. Also -a nice touch was the need for a hotel room card to use the elevator - appreciated the security feature.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel last weekend for a wedding in the columbus area. While the front desk staff was nice and provided easy check-in and check-out, they were unable to provide us any information about the surrounding area or things to do close by. We were given a visitors guide to columbus that was outdated by at least 2months so none of the activities were current. The room was nice and the bed itself was comfortable, but the pillows were awful...we did not sleep well our entire stay. The room had a pretty nice flat screen tv and free internet access, although we did not use it. The shower was ok and had the extended shower curtain which provided more room...my husband is 6'6" so that was nice...but the shower did not drain properly and we had water up to our ankles during every shower! The hotel restaurant was ok...nothing to really brag about. Our last night was the best at the hotel bar/lounge area. The bartender was great and had tons of amusing stories. If the price was right...we would stay here again, but I would look for another option first.
